Over the course of this series inception, there was a constant issue of, looking at the natural world as a means to an end. As homie progressed, I was exposed to these female scientists that shared my desire to observe and enjoy, without recklessly manipulating that which they were studying. This idea of mindful ecology, careful observation and considered action in relation to the natural world, has become so precious to me. These pieces reflect that first part of not just observing, but almost empathizing with the nuances of this world”
